POOL ENGINEER AND PRINCIPLE DESIGNER
Mike Burnham (MISPE)
Mike’s journey into the world of swimming pools began before he could even remember – appearing in a pool lighting brochure at just 12 months old. The wet leisure industry has always been in his family, with his grandad, dad, and uncle all running successful construction and services companies. This gave Mike the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in multiple different roles and see the design and construction process for various angles.

Mike left the family businesses in 2022 and started Pool Logic in 2024.

Mike is a member of the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers.Â

Passionate about the industry, Mike’s love for pools extends even to his holidays, where he can’t help but dive into the mechanics of every pool he encounters—admittedly, a tad nerdy, but endearingly so!

Beyond the poolside, Mike immerses himself in a diverse range of hobbies. Whether tackling obscure languages like Russian and Hungarian, shredding on his guitar , hitting the gym, practicing Krav Maga, or getting stuck into a new book (Moby Dick being a recent favourite). Mike recently embraced the world of salsa and kizomba.
