PROOF OF CONCEPT TO AS BUILT

DESIGN ROADMAP

At Pool Logic, our design roadmap is a comprehensive guide tailored to ensure the success of every swimming pool project.

We start with Stage 0: Proof of Concept, laying the groundwork for the client’s vision. Moving on to Stage 1: Concept Design, we bring creative ideas to life, followed by Stage 2: Schematic Design, where concepts are refined into detailed plans. Stage 3: Detailed Design delves deeper into specifics, ensuring a thorough blueprint for construction.

Optionally, we offer Stage 4: Tender Evaluation and Stage 5: As Built, providing additional layers of support for those seeking comprehensive project oversight.

Our roadmap is designed for flexibility, allowing clients to choose the stages that best suit their project requirements.

STAGE ZERO

PROOF OF CONCEPT

Stage zero involves early discussions with the client or lead consultant to define project requirements.

This phase includes reviewing the scope of works, aligning with the client’s vision, and establishing the project brief. Budgetary considerations are addressed, and a detailed assessment of the current pool allocation and positioning is conducted, setting the foundation for subsequent stages.

STAGE ONE

CONCEPT DESIGN

In Stage 1: Concept Design, we engage with all the other contractors and specialists working on the project.

We then build on the Proof of Concept deliverables. Clients receive a detailed Technical Specification and proposed plans for the Pool Layout, Plant Room Layout, Pool Area Layout, and Balance Tank.

It’s the first draft blueprint for transforming ideas into tangible design elements.

STAGE TWO

SCHEMATIC DESIGN

In Stage 2: Schematic Design, we solidify conceptual ideas into actionable plans.

We engage in collaborative workshops and design meetings, ensuring seamless coordination with other consultants.

Deliverables include all aspects from the Concept Design stage and detailed schematic drawings for Filtration, Electrical, and necessary services. The package also includes a comprehensive pipework installation layout, a valve schedule, and an MEP Services Specification document.

STAGE THREE

DETAILED DESIGN

In Stage 3: Detailed Design, we enhance the Schematic Design, collaborating with other consultants to resolve potential clashes.

Active participation in workshops and meetings ensures seamless coordination.

Deliverables encompass the entire Schematic Design package, including a detailed plan of the proposed pool layout, plant room layout, pool area layout, and balance tank.

STAGE FOUR

TENDER EVALUATION

In Stage 4: Tender Evaluation, we offer guidance during prequalification, assist in tender selection, and support the quantity surveyor and main contractor in cost analysis.

Responding to main contractor queries, we meticulously review all tender bids, presenting comprehensive evaluation reports and recommendations.

Our deliverables include invaluable assistance to both the main contractor and client throughout the tender process.

STAGE FIVE

AS BUILT

In Stage 5: As Built, we ensure design accuracy post-construction.

Attending the site, we compare initial designs with the “As Built” state, updating schematics, valve schedules, pipework layouts, and any other affected areas.

Our deliverables include precise, updated drawings to hand over to the end user, reflecting changes that occurred during the project build.
